Somatic Therapy

Sessions are holistic and eclectic, incorporating all the benefits of traditional psychotherapy enhanced by the use of Somatic Techniques which include movement (including yoga), meditation, mindfulness, centering, grounding, resourcing, titration, and pendulation to name a few.


Yoga Therapy

A one on one Yoga Therapy session, rooted in the Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy approach, engages a client in gentle movement, breathwork and meditation, allowing for deep relaxation and profound insights to emerge.


Sharon has been a therapist for 30 years and for 15 of those years, she has been using Somatics (SOMA = the body) to help her clients deeply heal.


Over these years and in learning from her clients along the way, she has developed a repertoire of therapeutic techniques that include dialogue, yoga and other movements, meditation and breathwork (to name a few) that support clients to develop mindfulness or a present moment awareness of what they need - body, mind, and spirit. —- Most importantly, Sharon has the ability to truly “see” her clients and the capacity to hold them in their experience with empathy and insight. —- >“Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness.” — Peter A.
